Washington Butler was born from Puyallup Washington State, became interested in arts as an infant. The career of Ferland has included nominations for and won a plethora of additional awards. Some of her most prestigious wins are her winning the Young Artist Award (for Mermaid) as well as an award called the CAMIE Award, for Best lead performance in a TV Movie Series or Special.
